Leather Care
To keep your leather goods looking their best for years to come, follow these simple care tips:
-
Moisturize regularly: Use a leather conditioner every few months to prevent cracking. Trusted U.S. brands include Chamberlain’s Leather Milk, Lexol, and Cadillac Leather Lotion.
-
Wipe gently: Use a clean, soft cotton cloth to remove dust and light dirt. Avoid harsh chemicals or baby wipes.
-
Avoid water & heat: Keep leather away from long sun exposure, rain, and heat sources. Sun can fade and dry out the leather over time.
-
Store with care: When not in use, store your leather item in a breathable cotton dust bag (like the one we provide) — never plastic.
-
Let it age naturally: Leather develops a rich patina with time. Minor marks and scuffs are part of its unique character.
Important Color Transfer Notice
Please note that our leather bags are made from rich, full-color leather that may experience color transfer. Darker colors can sometimes rub off onto light-colored clothing, especially white fabrics. This includes items like white shirts, jeans, or other light garments.
To keep both your bag and clothes looking their best, we recommend:
-
Avoiding prolonged contact between your bag and light-colored fabrics.
-
Being mindful of denim or heavily dyed clothing, which can also transfer color onto lighter leather bags.
-
Regularly cleaning and conditioning your leather to reduce excess dye.
Color transfer is a natural characteristic of genuine leather and does not affect the quality or durability of your bag.
